Jade Moore is aware of the difficulty of trying to follow a Paleo diet while yet having a sweet craving. She laughs, saying, “I used to think sweets were off-limits. “But with a little inventiveness, you can savor delicacies both Paleo-friendly and delicious.”
Among Jade’s all-time favorites are her Almond Flour Brownies. Rich and fudgy, these brownies made with almond flour, chocolate powder, and coconut oil have The secret, she says, is to use a premium dark chocolate. “It deepens without calling for a lot of sweeteners.” She employs some honey for a hint of natural sweetness.
Jade’s kitchen also boasts her Coconut Milk Berry Popsicles as another favorite. Before freezing the concoction into molds, she combines coconut milk with fresh strawberries and a trace of vanilla. “These are quite reviving on a hot day,” she explains. They are entirely guilt-free as well.
Her quick dessert of choice is Banana Nut Butter Bites. She cuts a banana, sloshes almond butter on every slice, and tops them with shredded coconut and cocoa nibs. “It’s a basic treat that strikes all the proper notes,” she says.
Jade gives support to people who are dubious about Paleo sweets. She believes you don’t have to give up on sweets. “It’s about discovering the proper foods and techniques that fit you.” Her last counsel? “Keep testing and enjoy the process; healthy doesn’t have to mean boring.”
