Naomi Lane understands that feeling your best in terms of gut health depends on eating clean. Naomi, a wellness coach and promoter of good living, lists her best meals to maintain a happy and balanced gut. “Your general health is based on your gut,” she says. “Eat clean to make all the difference.”
Fermented Foods:
Probiotics, the healthy bacteria your gut demands, abound in fermented foods such kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi. “I start my day with a bowl of plain yogurt topped with a spoonful of sauerkraut,” notes Naomi. “The probiotics balance my gut flora, which keeps my digestion smooth and my immune system strong.”
2. Leafy Greener:
Rich in fiber, dark, leafy greens such arugula, kale, and spinach aid to preserve a good stomach lining. “I love adding greens to smoothies, salads, even sautéing them with olive oil and garlic for a quick meal,” Naomi says. These meals’ fiber helps to support good digestion and regular bowel motions as well.
3.Prebiotic Foods:
Probiotics rely on prebiotics to flourish; they are their fuel. Excellent prebiotics abound from foods including bananas, onions, garlic, and asparagus. “Every meal I make sure to include at least one prebiotic food,” Naomi explains. “They’re fantastic for encouraging growth of good gut flora.”
4. Foods Rich in Omega-3s:
Foods such chia seeds, walnuts, and fatty seafood like salmon provide omega-3 fatty acids believed to lower intestinal inflammation. “One of my favourite ways to get those healthy fats is once a week a serving of salmon,” Naomi says. “They help to keep my gut calm and inflammation-free.”
5. Bone Broth:
Another gut-healing meal Naomi often turns to is bone broth. Rich in amino acids and collagen, it helps digestive integrity generally and the gut lining. “Every Sunday I make a large batch of bone broth.” Naomi adds. “It’s my secret to keep my skin brilliant and my gut strong.”
Including these clean eating foods into your diet will help you feel best and improve intestinal health. Naomi stresses how your attitude to your meals counts just as much as the stuff you consume. “I always eat deliberately, chew my food slowly, and listen to my body,” she explains. “That’s the secret to a joyful gut.”
