For years, nutritionist Sophia Green has been educating clients on low-carb diets stressing taste choices that support weight loss.
The secret is balance, Sophia says. “Carbs aren’t the enemy; but, cutting them helps with energy levels and, usually, with weight management.”
One grilled chicken meal with roasted vegetables
Grilled chicken is a lean protein choice that tastes great without the carbohydrates. She serves it with roasted vegetables on the side. “Love to season with olive oil and rosemary. She adds, “It’s filling and so flavorful.”
2. Stir- Fry with cauliflower rice
While maintaining texture, cauliflower rice reduces carbohydrates when replacing conventional rice. Bell peppers, onions, and soy sauce abound in Sophia’s preferred stir-fry mix. She notes, “It’s light but satisfying.”
3. Pesto Noodles Made with Zucchini
Sophia tosses spiralized zucchini with handmade pesto instead of pasta. “This dish provides you with that pasta sensation free of carbohydrates,” she says. And pesto is rich and great without added carbohydrates.
Low-carb diets, according to Sophia, do not translate into boring cuisine. Anyone can enjoy meals that support weight goals without compromising taste with a few creative changes.
