Keira’s gratitude journaling practice has evolved into her haven in a world of distractions.
Keira has found a great approach to increase her happiness and mental health by spending a few minutes every day to consider her thanksfulness.
Morning thoughts
Usually drinking her morning coffee, Keira begins her day with her appreciation diary. She says, “I love beginning my day on a positive note”.
“It shapes everything that comes after.” She notes three things she is appreciative about each morning. It could be as basic as a decent night’s sleep, the sun, or the courtesy of a stranger.
Discovering delight in the small things
Keira’s writing technique depends on her ability to pay close attention to the little, frequently missed events. She points out, “You don’t need large, life-changing events to feel grateful.” “Some of my best entries are on the little things, like the scent of fresh flowers or a wonderful chat with a friend.”
An instrument for difficult times is
Keira’s appreciation diary becomes especially crucial on trying days. “Having a list of my blessings helps me change my emphasis,” she says.
“There is always something to value even in trying circumstances.” She finds it simpler to handle negativity and stress by spending time to contemplate.
Finish the day optimistically.
Keira also enjoys reflecting in her diary at the end of her day before bed. “It’s a terrific way to relax,” she explains. “I list one, no matter how little, one positive event that occurred during the day. It makes me grin going to sleep.
For Keira, her thankfulness diary is a potent tool for developing a good attitude, not only a habit. She says, “It’s incredible how much difference something so basic can create.” Life seems a lot more rewarding when you concentrate on what you have rather than what you need.
