Often for lunch, Sage makes a substantial salmon bowl with brown rice and roasted veggies like bell peppers and broccoli. One basic lemon-herb dressing pulls it all together.

Dinner may be a warm lentils soup seasoned with ginger, onions, and garlic—powerhouse foods meant to fight inflammation. Two of my favorite add-ins are garlic and ginger, Sage says. “They are fantastic for the immune system and create meals with such flavor.”

Beyond only consuming anti-inflammatory foods, Sage emphasizes balance as well. Good fats from sources like avocados, almonds, and olive oil as well as high-quality proteins help to satisfy you.

Moreover, modest activity—such as daily walks or light yoga—helps general wellness. “I try to move my body at least thirty minutes a day,” Sage notes. “For me, combining a decent diet with consistent exercise has done miracles.”
