Laughing, Rhea says, “After a long day at the office, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in the kitchen.” She knows the difficulty of maintaining a good eating schedule since she is a working professional balancing meetings late at night and deadlines.
She therefore created a set of low-carb meal ideas that fit quite well with a busy schedule.
“I think anyone can savor the strong Mediterranean tastes without spending hours in the kitchen,” Hannah explains. “You simply need some imagination and fresh ideas.”
Rhea loves a basic sheet pan chicken and vegetable supper. She bakes boneless chicken thighs beside bell peppers and zucchini after marinating them in olive oil, garlic, and rosemary.
She notes, “Everything cooks together in under 30 minutes,” and “you only have one pan to clean!” Naturally low in carbohydrates, this dish loads in protein and nutrient content.
Rhea goes to her zucchini noodle stir-fry on evenings when she’s yearning something a little more savory. She mixes lean ground turkey in a wok with soy sauce or coconut aminos, spiralizes zucchini into noodles, and “It’s a terrific substitute for regular noodles,” she says. It also helps me avoid that carb-heavy mood that slows me down.
To match various proteins, Rhea also advises making a batch of cauliflower rice at the start of the week. “I’ll sauté the cauliflower rice in a little olive oil using onions and garlic. Then, she adds, on top shredded chicken or fried shrimp. She might toss cherry tomatoes, spinach, or mushrooms to vary things.
Meal planning is a great time-saver, and Rhea advises working people to make sensible use of weekends. She has chopped veggies ready to go in the refrigerator and puts proteins in airtight containers. This allows dinner to be on the table in under twenty minutes when she gets home on a Friday night.
Rhea reminds everyone that keeping a low-carb diet need not be difficult or monotonous. She counsels, “Get creative with herbs, spices, and healthy sauces to add taste.” Even on your busiest workdays, you may enjoy filling dinners that meet your wellness goals by using smart planning and basic recipes.
