Sena Wilde’s Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie Recipes

Sena Wilde never considered inflammation very much. Like many others, she thought it was something remote—something related to long-term disease or injury. She started attentively examining her nutrition, though, after going through a period of low-grade soreness, joint stiffness, and tiredness that just would not go away.

“I didn’t feel sick, but I didn’t feel good either,” she notes. “I sensed something was not quite right.” Quest Nutrition Ultimate Variety Pack Protein Bars, High Protein, Low Carb, Gluten Free, Keto Friendly, 12 Count

At this point Sena started researching chronic inflammation and the part some foods play in either aggravating it or soothing it down. She wanted to add something simple and regular into her daily schedule but was not interested in changing her whole diet over night. She came to see that the ideal place to start were smoothies.

Her mixes were originally somewhat simple. Here a banana, a bunch of spinach elsewhere. She began include true anti-inflammatory foods—things like turmeric, ginger, wild blueberries, and flaxseeds—as she read more, though. Her smoothies evolved from basic munchies to deliberate wellness aids slowly.

“I wasn’t trying to come up with a magic cure,” Sena says But I wanted to feel better, and every morning smoothies became a little daily ritual.

Experimenting with textures and flavours also brought her delight; she slipped in half an avocado, added a dollop of nut butter for richness, or used herbal teas as the liquid foundation for extra benefits. Her smoothy tasted like breakfast some mornings. Other days it was a mid-afternoon reset. In either case, she started to look forward it for the emotional experience as much as for the flavour.

Her figure changed subtly but obviously over time. Her joints seemed to be looser. Her vitality held into the afternoon. Her digestive system started to work. Most critically, though, she started to relate to her body in a simpler, more natural manner in kindergarten.

“I discovered that healing does not have to be dramatic,” she says. “Sometimes, it’s just one little decision repeated every day.”
