Maren Hart doesn’t believe in extremes. “I’ve never been someone who did well with fad diets,” she admits. “If I can’t see myself eating that way in five years, I’m not doing it.”
After losing 25 pounds a few years ago, Maren’s biggest challenge wasn’t the weight loss—it was keeping it off. The slow climb back up the scale during periods of stress or travel reminded her just how easy it was to lose track. “It’s not about willpower,” she says. “It’s about systems that work.”
Her system? Thoughtful, realistic meal prep. Multivitamin for Men – Daily Mens Multivitamins & Multiminerals with Vitamin D, Vitamin C, B12 Zinc & More. Essential Vitamins for Mens Health.
But unlike the color-coded containers and marathon Sundays of Instagram fame, Maren’s approach is refreshingly human. “I meal prep for real life,” she laughs. “That means flexibility, flavor, and foods I actually want to eat.”
She starts each week by prepping a few basics: roasted vegetables, a cooked grain like farro or brown rice, and one protein option—usually beans, tofu, or grilled chicken for her family. The rest of the meals come together quickly from those components, keeping her eating balanced without boredom.
“I don’t pre-portion everything,” she clarifies. “It’s more like building blocks. I just make sure those blocks are always ready.”
Maren emphasizes that maintenance doesn’t mean perfection. She still enjoys treats, goes out to eat, and takes time off from prep when needed. But knowing she has a foundation in place gives her freedom instead of restriction.
“I’m not meal prepping to control my body,” she says. “I’m doing it to support it, with kindness.”
