Breakfast became green smoothies or eggs with sautéed kale. Lunches were big bowls of roasted vegetables with lentils or chickpeas. Dinner was less about recipes and more about balance—something warm, filling, and satisfying.
Vera also stopped labeling food as “bad” or “good.” If she wanted dessert, she had it—just not every night. “The less I judged my meals, the more I paid attention to how they actually made me feel,” she says.
Within a few weeks, the results surprised her. Her clothes fit better. Her energy improved. Most importantly, she wasn’t thinking about food all the time. “I started to trust myself again,” Vera says. “And I realized—I don’t need to count to feel in control.”
