Gia Lane’s Vegan Plan to Fight Fatigue Naturally

Before she switched to a plant-based lifestyle, Gia Lane thought fatigue was just part of being an adult. “I’d wake up tired, push through the day with coffee, then crash before dinner,” she says. “I thought it was normal.”

But deep down, she knew something wasn’t right. Her bloodwork was fine. She exercised, slept enough, and wasn’t particularly stressed. Yet she always felt drained. A conversation with her holistic nutritionist sparked a turning point. “She asked what I was fueling myself with,” Gia recalls. “I realized I was eating processed vegan foods with long ingredient lists—energy bars, frozen meals, lots of bread.”

So Gia challenged herself to eat whole, vibrant, plant-based meals for 10 days—nothing packaged, nothing artificial. She focused on nutrient-rich foods like leafy greens, legumes, quinoa, and colorful veggies. Her breakfasts became green smoothies with flaxseed, lunch was lentil salad with tahini dressing, and dinner often included sautéed greens and sweet potatoes.

“I didn’t count calories or macros,” Gia says. “I just asked myself, ‘Will this give me energy?’” Within days, the brain fog lifted. Her afternoons didn’t drag anymore. And that nightly crash? Gone. “I didn’t just feel less tired—I felt alive,” she says.

Now, her approach is simple: real food, plant-based, and rooted in what energizes her. She still enjoys a vegan pizza now and then, but she’s learned to listen to her body more than food labels.

“You don’t need caffeine to feel awake,” Gia says. “You need nourishment that works with your body—not against it.”
